Chrome-plated (piston) bars for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders: hard chrome, induction-hardened, nickel-chrome and stainless AISI 304 / 316. Pick by wear, corrosion and duty. A standard hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder
Suitable type: Hard chrome-plated bars
Why: Hard chrome without induction hardening: a smooth, hard surface.
Wear, heavy duty
Suitable type: Induction-hardened chrome-plated bars
Why: An induction-hardened layer under the chrome for higher wear resistance.
Offshore, marine conditions, mining
Suitable type: Nickel-chrome plated bars
Why: A nickel-chrome coating for severe corrosion; the hardened version is for heavier loads.
A corrosive environment and a stainless base
Suitable type: Stainless chrome-plated bars
Why: A stainless AISI 304 or 316 base under the hard chrome.
