Nickel-chrome plating is suited to severe corrosive environments such as offshore, marine, wind, solar, aerospace, agriculture, mining, and oil and gas. Steel grades such as 20MnV6 or 38MnVS6, with low carbon content and good weldability, are among the most suitable bases for nickel-chrome plated products.
